We’re open this Sunday for Mother’s Day and doing a special harvest table including breakfast and lunch (starting at 11.30). Have a look at our menu here and come early as we won’t be taking bookings.

Valentine's Day

Everything is a little more low key than usual but that doesn’t mean you can’t do something lovely for Valentines Day. This year falls on Sunday so it’s a perfect day to have a leisurely brunch at our cafe.

Brunch will include some extra specials this year including yummy cocktails (Aperol Spritz anyone?) and a delicious smoked salmon rosti. Have a look at our Valentine’s menu below and if you’re not heading out why not pop in to buy coffees, croissants and some delicious chocolates in our deli.

An intimate Spring Lunch

Level 2 has meant that small gatherings are allowed and we’re finally able to do family lunches, birthdays, small weddings are more. These smaller type of events have been our specialty for over 20 years and we’re thrilled to be able to do them again.

We catered an intimate 40th last weekend and put together a menu perfect for sunny Joburg weather. Asparagus, Salmon and a range of pates, terrines and salad and a delicious meringue dessert to end off. We’ve got some delicious pork options for you to try.

Pork vindaloo served with basmati rice, ghee rotis & tomato, red onion and coriander salsa

or

Roasted pork belly served with sweet mustard or salsa verde sauce, roasted potato wedges and broccoli, green beans, baby spinach, fennel with tahini soya dressing.

Both options are R 175.00 per person ( minimum order 4 people )

Our pantry and shop

When we did our renovation a few years ago we were able to create dedicated space for a range of home ware and pantry items.

We stock a range of wonderful local items including Skinny Laminx teatowels and oven gloves together with kitchen classics like Weck Jars, Tala bakeware and La Rochere glassware.

Perfect gifts for the kitchen enthusiast or simply for you as you spend more time in your kitchen.

Babette's Bread available to order through us

It’s great to see that baking at home has made a comeback, but if you prefer to leave it to the experts, you can order Sourdough and Baguettes from Joburg’s favourite Babette’s Bread.

Order by Thursday at 5 pm to receive on Saturdays.

Bringing our delicious food to you

We can’t serve you inside our cafe but have lots of delicious food to deliver to you at home. Each week we’re making frozen meals, tarts, salads, cakes, sweets and bread.

We're asking for some help for our staff over this time.

We don’t normal do this kind of thing but with no income at all over lockdown we just can’t support all our employees over this time. We have 12 staff that despite us assisting with UIF claims aren’t able to get what they need to pay their bills and support their families.
